Project Overview

The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority engaged EDA Collaborative Inc. and Sierra Planning and Management team to prepare a new Master Plan that respects the natural heritage of the site, provides recreational opportunities, and protects the natural resources of Lake Niapenco, while working towards becoming a self-sustaining conservation area. The master plan focuses on the areas of the site that support recreational uses.

The plan includes a Multi‐Purpose Building, Upgraded Washroom Facility, Glamping Area with servicing and vehicular access, Observation Tower, Outdoor Event Venue Upgrades, Personal Canoe / Kayak Storage Structure, Additional Fishing Platforms, Renovated Splash Pad, Children’s Trail, Continuous Accessible Trail around Lake, and Interpretive Signage.
