ITU Edmonton Triathlon

EDA has  provided design services for the Edmonton Trialthlon since 1999.  In 2001 Edmonton hosted the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Triathlon World Championship.  The challenge of staging a world class event in Edmonton that met the high expectation of athletes, spectators and sponsors was great.  EDA was a major playor involved in the process of planning this special event from the start, with responsibilities for site planning, design and management.  This involved the formulation of a detailed event/site program, various site development layout plans, construction details, environmental graphics and site management plans.  EDA was also actively involved in the final fabrication of signage/site features and the construction set-up of the site, in preparation for the two-day event.
