Robert Service Way

Whitehorse, Yukon Territory
项目概况
What started as a simple roadway widening program, grew to include an important multi-use trail link and interpretive walk on this major south access to Whitehorse. EDA developed the initial River Walk concept which included the design of several rest stop / viewpoints, then translated the interpretive theme into a final design, contract documents and construction. Each of the individual rest stops was developed with a different interpretive story and physical design that complimented the storyline. To illustrate the story of a sunken sternwheeler, a full scale “footprint” of the boat was established and salvaged parts of the boat (boiler and paddle arms) were positioned in their appropriate positions on the display.
