Lakewood Park North was officially opened Friday, July 27 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at the new gazebo. Residents, media, past and present elected officials and Dwight Duncan, MPP & the Minister of Finance for Ontario, were on hand to thank those who donated skills and money to the project, to talk about the history, vision and design of the park, and the future of the area. Phase 3 construction, which begins next spring will include a naturalized area, new stormwater ponds, pumping station and road improvements at Riverside Dr. and Manning Rd.
