Parkwood National Historic Site Landscape Conservation

Oshawa, Ontario

Project Overview

Parkwood was the estate home of the founder of General Motors Canada from 1917 to 1972. It is now a National Historic Site, which features multiple gardens designed by renowned landscape architects in the 1920's and 1930's.  EDA Collaborative Inc., with landscape historian Mark Laird, designed and implemented a multi phased plan to return the gardens to their original state. The project involved in depth knowledge of historic landscape architecture and modern horticultural practice.
